Maternity Program

Supportive housing and support services for young women who are pregnant and experiencing hardship, with a focus on health, stability, and preparation for motherhood.

Eligibility

  • Pregnant (at least 12 weeks)

  • Individuals of any age

  • Must be a North Carolina resident

  • Experiencing housing instability

Sarah’s House

Residential placement for teenage mothers and babies in foster care, providing stability, parenting support, and access to essential resources.

Eligibility

  • Mothers ages 14–21 and their child

  • Both mother and child must be in DSS custody

  • Mothers ages 18–21 must be in extended foster care

Legacy Hall

Aftercare

Ongoing support for former Crittenton residents as they transition to independent living, helping them maintain stability, access resources, and continue building toward their goals.

Eligibility

  • Completed Maternity, Sarah's House, or Legacy Hall within the past 6 months

  • Living within 50 miles of Crittenton

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Yes, all of our services and supplies are only for clients who are part of our residential services. We provide aftercare support for clients once they discharge from our residential programs.

  • Crittenton provides substance abuse prevention education. Crittenton is not a substance abuse treatment facility, but residents requiring support may be referred for outpatient services.

  • All applications are reviewed by our admissions team on a case-by-case basis. If it is decided that Crittenton does not offer appropriate services to meet your needs, we will refer you to other resources in the area. Everyone is encouraged to reach out to our Admissions Coordinator at 704-372-4663 to see if Crittenton is a good fit for you.

  • Family may visit in a designated space on site for all programs.
